Guwahati city is where the closest railway station and airport are. Once you arrive at Guwahati, you can hire a taxi for Cherrapunjee/Sohra. The other option is to take a shared taxi from Guwahati to Shillong (100km), after which you will have to switch taxis from Shillong to Sohra (54 km). Taxis to Sohra can be found at the main bazaar in Shillong call Iew Duh. You can request the cab driver to take you straight to the resort for an extra charge, or once you arrive at Sohra market, take a local cab that will bring you to the resort. You can also rent a self-driven Zoom car from Guwahati.
Our property is just before entering the main town of Sohra. There is a small diversion on the main road itself, and there is a signboard on the main road that directs you to the diversion. The location on Google Maps is also accurate. Sa-I-Mika is about 4km away from the main market in Sohra, and it’s a 10-15 minute drive.

Please make sure to carry a raincoat, gumboots, and an umbrella for these months. If you want to do a little trekking and swimming, then the months of October to April are a good time to visit. If you are travelling between November to February, it is very sunny on most days and freezing at night. So please carry a warm jacket or shawl, thermals, and a cap or umbrella that will protect you from the sun. However, for all the months, you will need a medium thickness jacket for the evenings.
